Inspired by the brownstones of New York (above left), the townhouses of Boston (above right), the terrace houses of London, and the culture and style of Miami, Tecela proudly presents 769 NW 1 St, two townhouses each with four apartments that feature flexible floorplans, high ceilings, and energy efficiency.
769 NW 1 St was designed by Jason Chandler, AIA Florida award-winning architect and Chair of the Florida International University Department of Architecture. The design draws on two global architectural traditions -- the townhouse building type and Topical Colonial style, particularly its multi-layer facades and large balconies -- and translates them into contemporary Miami.
little Havana is the amenity
769 NW 1 St is in Little Havana, the neighborhood that is at Miami's heart both geographically and culturally. Little Havana is economically and culturally diverse, famous for its Cuban immigrants but also enriched by other waves of immigrants before and after. It is home to venues like Marlins Park and the Tower Theater, a wide range of excellent restaurants, nightlife like Hoy Como Ayer and Ball & Chain, and the monthly celebration Viernes Culturales.
And at the heart of the heart: Calle Ocho.
Little Havana is close to the county's largest job centers: downtown Miami and Brickell, the Health District, Miami International Airport, and downtown Coral Gables.
East Little Havana publics schools are Riverside (elementary), Jose De Diego (middle), and Booker T. Washington (high). The neighborhood also boasts public magnet schools Ada Merritt K-8 Center (International Baccalaureate) and Young Women's Preparatory Academy (middle and high, liberal arts), and a few blocks away the New World School Of The Arts (high), as well as charter schools Mater Academy East (elementary, middle, and high) and SLAM (middle and high, sports leadership and marketing).
Access & transportation
Little Havana is very convenient, as shown by the building's Walk Score of 88. The neighborhood has many mobility options, including two Metrorail stations within a half mile of the building, and two high-frequency bus corridors, one of which is only one block from the building.
All apartments will feature high ceilings, polished concrete floors, custom cabinets, quartz counter tops, and counter-depth refrigerators. Energy efficient features include water sub-meters, LED lights, Nest thermostats and smoke alarms, Energy Star appliances, and convenient recycling.
